How do I get started if I need financing guidance?
If you’re financing your custom home, we’ll help you understand the typical budget ranges and what lenders usually want to see. We can also connect you with lenders who understand construction loans, then align your plan, selections, and timeline with how funds are released during the build.
Do I need an architect or designer before contacting a builder?
No. Many clients start with Dennis Miller Homes first so our in-house architectural and design team can shape the plan with real-world build details in mind. That early collaboration helps avoid redraws, surprises, and “why didn’t anyone mention this sooner?” moments.
I have plans – can you give me a bid?
Yes. We’ll review your plans, specs, and site details, then provide pricing based on the level of detail provided and the finish selections you’re targeting. If anything is missing or vague, we’ll flag it and help tighten the scope so your number is meaningful.
How long does the custom home building process take?
Timeline depends on design complexity, permitting, and material lead times. Many custom homes take 12 to 18 months from design through construction, and we’ll map out the milestones early so you know what’s happening, and when.
