Our project was a difficult one. We found a piece of raw land which needed a lot of work just to get to the point where we could build a home. We needed to construct a road, drill a well, bring in power, propane and septic. We knew whomever we worked with would require patience (I can be difficult to work with) and a lot of experience. We also had a unique concept for our home which meant we needed someone who could understand our vision, would listen, provide input, and research processes in order to come up with solutions. When we originally sat down with the Millers to discuss our project, it was their honesty that won us over. If we would present something they didn’t have experience doing, they would make it known and would have a solution by the next meeting.
Communication was also very important, as we were out of state during the majority of the construction process. They always answered our calls and quickly returned our text messages. We always knew what was going on with the home and where they were at in the process. We still speak with the Millers on a regular basis as friends and when we need help with repairs or new projects. Start to finish the Millers did a wonderful job. They helped us convert a piece of raw land into our dream home.
